Since the pandemic, the concept of normalcy has adapted a “new normal” for people on earth. The movement of people has been restricted like never before and relationships between people have been reimagined; we seem to be on a journey to a New World together. Maestro Ken Hsieh and his Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra are joining with TAIWANfest to celebrate the all-time great movements of people through Dvořáks’ Symphony No. 9, Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2, Green Island Serenade (綠島小夜曲), as well as Arirang, a song speaking about leaving and reunion, sorrow, joy and happiness.
Throughout the existence of humanity, people explore, experiment and evolve generations after generations. Some of these greatest movements have been exemplary and inspiring for the new generations as they continue to create a vision for their New World.
