Position Overview:
As a Junior Journalist/Videographer, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to work alongside our Chief Editor in capturing and sharing the stories of diverse performing and visual artists. Your role will involve conducting interviews, filming and editing videos, and crafting engaging articles for Pancouver.
Introducing Pancouver:
Pancouver, an initiative by the Society of We Are Canadians Too, celebrates Metro Vancouver’s diverse arts scene. Through its online platform and Print Edition 2024, Pancouver aims to deepen cultural appreciation, foster understanding, and break language barriers.
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling articles that convey artistic stories and perspectives
- Awareness and appreciation of cultural diversity, with a sensitivity to cultural nuances in storytelling
- Proficiency in filming and editing video content using relevant software and equipment
- Collaborative mindset, able to work closely with the Chief Editor and team members to ensure seamless content production for Pancouver
Responsibilities:
